General Provisions

This website has been designed to provide general information about the StarJam Fan Club and its content cannot be downloaded and used for commercial purposes.

If you are under the age of 18, you must only use this website, or any products or services offered by us with parental or caregiver consent, provided they are over the age of 18 and accept these terms and conditions on your behalf.

Our commitment to you

  1. Although we endeavour to keep the StarJam fan Club website and its Content up to date and accurate, we do not represent or warrant that all Content displayed on our website is up to date or accurate at all times.
  2. If you sign up to become a fan and/or send fan mail, from time to time we will send you an email to update you on the progress of your Jammer ‘Star” and any significant developments happening within the StarJam Fan Club.
  3. At any time you may unsubscribe from our mailing list.

You must not use the StarJam Fan Club for sending:

  1. Spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, hoaxes or other similar unsolicited communications of any kind.
  2. For sending objectionable language, content, or any expressions of hatred, racism or anti-religious remarks of any kind.

All content, including all media, software, text, images, graphics, user interfaces, sound recordings, videos, photographs, logo, artwork, digital products, clips and other content on the web site including, without limitation, the design, selection, arrangement and coordination of such content is owned by the StarJam Charitable Trust, and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property rights laws. Except where expressly stated all material on our website is presented for your information and entertainment only, but any commercial exploitation of any of our material on our website is expressly prohibited. You are also expressly prohibited from distributing, exchanging, modifying, passing off or making derivative works, selling or reselling or transmitting to any other person any of our content or images obtained from our website.

Changes to terms and conditions

You accept that we may change these terms and conditions at any time and that any revised terms and conditions displayed on the StarJam Fan Club website from time to time will apply to your use of our website, its Content, and any products or services we offer or supply.

Privacy and Security of Personal Information

This website is owned by the StarJam Charitable Trust (SCT). It is hosted on behalf of the SCT by a professional server company whose privacy guidelines conform to those of the SCT. The SCT respects your privacy and security and recognises the confidentiality of your personal information.

The SCT does not collect personally identifiable information from you unless you provide it voluntarily and knowingly. The SCT only gathers such personal information as is necessary to process your donation and tax receipt, or any enquiries you may have. Such information is held for the purposes of these transactions, and/or for further communications with The SCT if permitted by you.

Your personal information is collected securely and is considered private and confidential. It is stored in a secure password-protected location held on the SCT server which is located in a locked room. Any personal information The SCT collects is accessible only by authorised SCT staff who may require the information to process your donation or enquiry.

The SCT adheres to the Privacy Act (1993) and the New Zealand Marketing Association Code of Practice and ensures that all personal information held by The SCT is rigorously protected. The SCT does not sell, rent or lend any personally identifiable information to third parties or outside agencies.

The SCT will not send you any unsolicited communications as a result of making a donation or enquiry. The SCT will give you the option of receiving further electronic or postal correspondence, which you are able to accept, decline or alter at any time. You have a right to access, alter and/or correct your personal information held by The SCT at any time. Any requests you make for amendments to your personal information held will be made promptly by The SCT.

Privacy and Security of Online Transactions

The SCT cares about the safety and security of your online transaction. The SCT website is hosted by a professional server company whose privacy guidelines conform to those of The SCT. Online credit card transactions are directed through secure pages housed in the main secure server with this hosting company. These secure pages use high-grade encryption and the "hypertext transfer protocol secure (https)" security protocol to communicate with your browser software. This method is the industry standard security protocol. The same high-grade encryption and https security protocols used for financial transactions on the The SCT website are used for collecting personal information.
